According to reports, a woman told police that Williams allegedly raped her at a hotel after a World Cup match between Spain and Portugal.

The woman claims the incident took place after the match. She later contacted both FIFA and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) requesting that Williams be removed from the World Cup squad. She says she received no response from either body.
The Spanish Football Federation has reportedly described the matter as a “personal issue” involving Nico Williams.
